Hello everyone! The long summer vacation is over in a flash, and already two weeks have passed since the new school year started. We hope you enjoyed your summer vacation to the fullest. The new PTO board members have been preparing for this school year’s activities during this summer vacation. We are pleased to share with you in this issue of the PTO newsletter what we discussed at our first PTO meeting of the year, which was held last Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Please take a look at this newsletter as we have made some changes to our activities from last year!
August PTO Meeting
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our first PTO Meeting this year! As you may have noticed, our meeting format has changed this year in a couple ways.
(1) Hosting the meeting in the evenings allows most families the opportunity to attend and we’re including a Zoom option as well. Thank you to all attendees for your patience last week as we worked through our technical challenges. All of our meetings will be at 6pm for this year.
(2) We’re preparing our presentations in advance with speaker notes to make sure that all information is translated with ease.

(3) Let’s get to know each other and make great use of this time! Many parents have already started discussing logistics in the various committees in Slack. These meetings are an opportunity to meet in person and define the details further.

Thank you Principal Jones and Ms. Junko Jones (CFO) for presenting at our PTO Meeting! Principal Jones discussed the importance of the attendance policy, the need for volunteers at the school, and how excited she is to launch the Reaching Challenge.
3 Things To Do
Slack:
Please make sure you have access to Slack. Slack is accessible from your computer, tablet or smartphone. The PTO will be using Slack to send reminders and updates for anything ICAG related.
Think of Slack as a way to stay connected with other parents at ICAG. We can help each other with homework questions or send birthday invitations. When you sign in, be sure to join the channel for your child’d grade level.
It’s also where we will be collaborating in committees for different events and programs. → Please join the Slack from HERE!!!!
2023-2024 Newsletter:
Please be sure to sign up for the 2023-2024 Newsletter. The PTO will be cleaning up our databases this month and will be relying on this database alone for this new year.
PTO Member Dues:
Dues are $35/year per family and they really make a difference when we start planning our events. While all our events are focused on family engagement and fundraising, they also require some funding to get started. The PTO dues help us to kickstart the year. →Please sign up PTO member from HERE!!

皆様、こんにちは！長かった夏休みもあっという間に終わり、早いもので新学年が始まって既に二週間が経ちました。夏休みを思う存分堪能されたことと思います。新しくなったPTO役員メンバーは、この夏休みの間も、今年度の活動へ向けて色々準備をして参りました。
先週の水曜日の午後6時より開催されました今年度最初のPTOミーティングでの内容をお送りします！昨年度より少し活動方法を変更しておりますので、どうぞご閲覧下さい！
8月PTOミーティング
今年最初のPTOミーティングにご出席くださった皆様、ありがとうございました！お気づきの方もいらっしゃるかもしれませんが、今年はミーティングの形式がいくつか変わりました。
(1) ミーティングを夕方に開催することで、ほとんどのご家族が出席する機会を得ることができます。先週は、技術的な問題でご迷惑をおかけしましたが、ご出席の皆様にはご辛抱いただきありがとうございました。今年度のミーティングはすべて午後6時からとなります。
(2)すべての情報が簡単に翻訳できるように、事前にスピーカーのメモを用意してプレゼンテーションの準備をしています。こちらが8月のプレゼンテーションです。
(3) お互いに知り合い、この時間を大いに活用しましょう！すでに多くの保護者の方が、Slackの各種委員会で後方支援について話し合いを始めています。これらのミーティングは、実際に会って詳細をさらに明確にする機会です。
ジョーンズ校長先生、ジュンコ・ジョーンズ先生（CFO）、PTOミーティングでのプレゼンテーションありがとうございました！ジョーンズ校長先生は、出席ポリシーの重要性、学校におけるボランティアの必要性、リーチング・チャレンジを開始することについてお話しくださいました。

Slack （スラック）
Slackにアクセスできるようにしてください。Slackはパソコン、タブレット、スマートフォンからアクセスできます。PTOはSlackを使って、ICAGに関するリマインダーや最新情報をお送ります。
SlackはICAGの他の保護者の方々と連絡を取り合うためのものです。宿題の質問で助け合ったり、誕生日の招待状を送ったりすることができます。サインインしたら、必ずお子さんの学年のチャンネルに参加してください。
また、様々なイベントやプログラムの委員会に参加する方法でもあります。
2023-2024 ニュースレター
2023-2024年ニュースレターにご登録ください。PTOは今月中にデータベースを整理し、新年度はこのデータベースのみに頼ることになります。
PTO会員の会費
会費は一家族につき年間35ドルです。すべての行事は、家族の参加と資金集めに重点を置いていますが、行事を始めるにはある程度の資金も必要です。PTO会費は、その年をスタートさせるのに役立ちます。→ PTO会員登録はこちらから！

Boletín del PTO de agosto
Hola a todos. Las vacaciones de verano se han acabado en un santiamén, y ya han pasado dos semanas desde que empezó el nuevo curso escolar. Esperamos que hayan disfrutado al máximo de sus vacaciones de verano. Los nuevos miembros de la junta del PTO han estado preparando las actividades de este año escolar durante estas vacaciones de verano. Nos complace compartir con ustedes en este número del boletín de la PTO lo que discutimos en nuestra primera reunión de la PTO del año, que se celebró el pasado miércoles a las 6:00 p.m. ¡Por favor, échenle un vistazo a este boletín ya que hemos hecho algunos cambios en nuestras actividades con respecto al año pasado!
Reunión del PTO de agosto
Gracias a todos los que pudieron asistir a nuestra primera reunión del PTO este año. Como habrán notado, nuestro formato de reunión ha cambiado este año en un par de maneras.
(1) La celebración de la reunión en las tardes permite a la mayoría de las familias la oportunidad de asistir y estamos incluyendo una opción de Zoom también. Gracias a todos los asistentes por su paciencia la semana pasada mientras trabajábamos a través de nuestros desafíos técnicos. Todas nuestras reuniones serán a las 6pm para este año.
(2) Estamos preparando nuestras presentaciones de antemano con notas del orador para asegurarse de que toda la información se traduce con facilidad. Aquí está nuestra presentación de agosto.
(3) ¡Conozcámonos y aprovechemos este tiempo! Muchos padres ya han comenzado a discutir la logística en los diversos comités en Slack. Estas reuniones son una oportunidad para conocernos en persona y definir más los detalles.

PTO cuotas de los miembros:
