    • The PTO will be gifting the 5th grade special graduation t-shirts. Our goal is to provide these t-shirts for the 5th grade t-shirts.

  • Overnight Field Trip Discussion with School Update
      n

    • The overnight field trip was not approved by the school because of safety reasons and they feel the cost is too high to ask of parents without payment plans. However, the school would like to add an overnight trip for the 2023-2024 5th grade class and a payment plan for parents starting at the beginning of the school year.

  • 一泊二日の卒業遠足について学校側の見解
      n

    • 一泊二日の卒業遠足は、安全上の理由と保護者に頼むには費用が高すぎるという理由で、学校側からは承認されませんでした。しかし、学校側は2023-2024年度の5年生を対象とした一泊卒業遠足を追加し、学年度の初めから保護者に支払いプランを提供したいと望んでいます。

Field Trip School Bus Funding

    n

  • The school shared concern that the funding of buses could go towards the curricula and education at the school. However, the PTO shared that the funding for buses was a result of a poll shared with the members of the PTO. Field trips at ICAG are more costly than field trips in public schools, largely due to bus costs. And, in comparison to local public schools, the PTO is attempting to help “level” those comparisons by ensuring the field trips are comparably low and affordable for families. We hope that initiatives like these will help increase the student population and retain families at the school, a necessity to help ensure the success of the school.

  • One of the goals for the PTO this year is to increase membership and build the community for the school. In an attempt to do so, the PTO is being mindful in including the PTO members in the decision-making process regarding how the PTO-raised funds will enhance and contribute to the education at the school. Since these initiatives have been in place, membership has increased significantly from the 2021-2022 to 2022-2023 school years.

遠足スクールバスの資金調達

  • 学校側は、PTOの予算が遠足でのバスの資金ではなく、学校のカリキュラムや教育に使われることを望んでいました。しかしPTOは、遠足でのバスの資金提供は、PTOメンバーで行なわれた投票の結果であることを共有しました。ICAGの遠足は、公立学校の遠足よりも費用が高い傾向にあり、その主な理由はバス代であることから、PTOからのバス代の資金提供により、公立学校の様に遠足がご家庭にとって手頃な価格になるように支援をしていきたいと思っております。このような取り組みにより、生徒数を増やし、学校の成功のために必要なご家族を留めることができればと願っています。

  • 今年度のPTOの目標のひとつは、会員数を増やし、学校のためのコミュニティを構築することです。そのために、PTOが集めた資金をどのように学校の教育に役立てるか、その決定過程にPTOメンバーも参加していただけるよう心がけております。このような取り組みを行っているため、2021-2022年度から2022-2023年度にかけて、会員数が大幅に増加しました。

Yearbook Update

  • The school agreed to let us use the same permission slip used last year for including student information (photos and names) in the yearbook.

  • Ms. Miki Ito and Ms. Annie Varghese are our points of contact for photos.

  • イヤーブックに生徒の情報（写真と名前）を掲載する際に必要な許可書について、学校側は昨年と同じ許可書を使用することに同意してくれました。

Dining with Scholars

  • Class Parents have been contacted by Sumika Michaels regarding raffle baskets.

    • n

  • PTO donated $400 to the school for Dining with Scholars. This donation will fund the linens and centerpieces, such as candelabras and vases/flowers.

  • クラスの保護者の方にスミカ・マイケルズさんからラッフルバスケットについて連絡して頂いています。

  • PTO は、Dining with Scholars のために 400 ドルを学校に寄付しました。この寄付金はリネン類、センターピース（燭台、花瓶、花など）の費用に充てられます。

    • ICAG Booth: The school is interested in having an ICAG Booth if parents are willing to host it.

    • Sponsors: The school and PTO have agreed to reach out to all businesses with our separate events.
